ABAP: "In a few sentences, please tell us why ABAP Certification interested you initially"

Dr. Allende: "Especially during the pandemic, there has been a rising need for adolescent psychiatrists. I have been treating adolescents throughout my career but was unable to take the time to do a 2-year child and adolescent fellowship. This certification allows me to access a resources and a group of other adolescent psychiatrist to better meet the needs of the adolescents in my practice. The need for adolescent psychiatry is not nearly met in the traditional route of the 2 year child adolescent fellowship. This certification provides psychiatrists with the tools to meet the needs of their community."


ABAP: "In a few sentences, please share how ABAP Certification has enhanced your confidence and skills in working with Teens and Young Adults".

Dr. Allende: "In preparing for the exam, I was privy to a set of learning materials that cemented my confidence as an Adolescent Psychiatrist. The Board Certification also shows others that I meet the requirements of a national credentialing board to be considered an expert in Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry"
