The American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry (ASAP), formed in 1967, hosts the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry (ABAP), which is a semi-autonomous body within ASAP, which is charged with upholding the integrity of the Board Certification process and sponsoring the ongoing speciality certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry. While ABAP is not officially part of ASAP, ABAP offers discounts on certification and recertification application fees to ASAP members, and ASAP offers a discount on membership fees for ABAP Diplomates.
